FAQS
Where does colostrum come from?
Four Leaf Rover Bovine Colostrum comes from a heifers first milk. The colostrum is collected from pasture-raised, grass-fed, antibiotic-free and hormone free cows.
All cows are raised on a small organic dairy farm.
The colostrum is then created into a powder form.
How is the colostrum collected?
After the first 12 hours after a calf is born and within a 36 hour window, colostrum is collected. This is when colostrum levels are high.
The calves get the colostrum all to themselves for the first 12 hours. After that, the colostrum is collected.
Calve are never separated from their mothers, even during collection time.
The quality of the milk is best with the cow is allowed to raise her calf.
How does colostrum work in the fight against allergies?
There’s a well researched ingredient in colostrum called proline-rich polypeptide (PRP), its been known to help with allergy symptoms.

If my dog has a beef sensitivity, can he still take colostrum?
There’s a good chance that if your dog has a beef sensitivity, he may still tolerate colostrum.
The proteins in beef and colostrum are different.
Colsotrum contains a very small amount of lactose, unlike milk. But before you give colostrum, check with your vet if your dog has a sensitivity to dairy.
What’s the best way to give my dog colostrum?
You can give your dog colostrum at mealtime.
For better absorption, give your dog colostrum at least 20 minutes before his/her next meal.
